A Garston student has been chosen to join fellow actors from across South-West Hertfordshire in performing at the National Theatre later this year. Jessica Skyers, who attends Francis Combe School, will join six other pupils from across the area to perform at the prestigious venue.

Every year the National Theatre commissions ten leading playwrights to create original and eye-catching plays for young people. Youth groups and schools across the country then get the opportunity to stage these productions with the possibility of eventually performing at the National Theatre as part of the Connections Festival. Hertfordshire County Youth Theatre's performance of A Vampire Story was selected to represent the play at the festival on July 3. Tickets have already sold out for the performance at the National Theatre.
