PHARMACIST GOES THE EXTRA MILE
ImageA Garston pharmacist has been praised for going that extra mile and providing a service which moves a step further towards providing customer satisfaction. Anuj Shah, who works at The Brow Pharmacy, has been commended by local residents Mr & Mrs Miller, of Valley Rise, who feel Mr Shah takes a “common sense” approach to his customers.
They told My Garston: “Anuj Shah goes well beyond the normal level of service you would expect to receive. He collects prescriptions from our doctor’s surgery on a weekly basis for our baby daughter. He often has to liaise with the surgery to make sure the correct medication and dosages are prescribed. Mr Shah has a common sense approach to his pharmacy that you do not find in most retail outlets and particularly the medical profession.” My Garston spoke to Mr Shah about the comments of Mr & Mrs Miller, and while he was thankful for their kind words, he stated he was not doing anything out of the ordinary. He told My Garston: “Most pharmacies will provide the same sort of service but it is nice to be recognised for your work. There is no surgery within this locality so patients have to go further away to see their doctor. We usually arrange for people to pick up their prescriptions to make things easier, which people appreciate. However, you will usually find that most places do this.” Despite Mr Shah’s modesty, it appears that his hard work is being recognised by the local community, which can only be a good thing for him and his customers.
