The latest primary school league table to be released have shown that some primary schools in Garston are trailing behind those in other areas. The table has been released based on SATS results throughout the county, and it would appear that schools in the local area are slightly behind those in neighbouring areas.

The scores are based on results obtained in English, Maths and Science, with the total points scored determining the league position of each school. To set the bench mark, Harvey Road School in Croxley Green obtained scores of 100% in English, 97% in Maths, and 100% in Science, thus giving them an overall score of 297. In comparison, Alban Wood School, The Brow, had a total of 190 points, which was due largely to a score of 47% in Maths. It also had an average score of 70% in English and 73% in Science. Berrygrove School, on Fourth Avenue, faired equally with Alban Wood, also obtaining an overall score of 190. The school faired better in Maths, averaging 52%, but was lower in Science, with an average of 67%.
